David Z Industries

David Z Industries is a studio with a focus on 3D printing to ‘push humanity forward’. The goal is to explore the possibilities of additive manufacturing, focusing on Soft Robotics, Compliant Mechanisms and Flexible Materials. Concepts include a 3D printed elbow brace, a socket brace for an extra thumb, and the development of lattice structures and TPU materials for flexibility and ergonomics.

Through these projects the studio aims to showcase the unlimited possibilities of 3D printed prosthetics and orthotics using thermoplastic polyurethane. The benefit of 3D printing as a manufacturing tool is an open-source system, which can be created through file sharing. David Z has used various social media channels to build a community where sharing ideas and skills is welcomed.
